Water is life.

Straw to Bread brings clean water in stages

Hundreds of 250-liter rainwater-harvesting systems have been installed over the years at the homes of the poorest residents of the Plateau. Channeling rainwater from the roof into a storage tank provides a reserve during the frequent droughts, and it is much cleaner than ground water.

On July 7, 2015, a company called Water is Life finally hit a water source after drilling down 450 feet into the rock of the Plateau.  A well and a pump were installed, and now there are gallons of fresh, pure water available every hour.  The well is next to the school and across from the hospital, so the quality of those two operations is immensely improved.

Here’s the story.
